Job Position: Craftsman

Starting Wages: $12.00-$16.00 per hour

Hours: Monday thru Friday, 7:00-3:30 (with a half-hour lunch)

Job Type: Full-time

ZENTX is on the hunt for an exceptional individual to join our team as a craftsman. Since this person will be creating custom products for our customers, we need someone with strong hands-on skills. Candidates should be experienced in working with machinery, metal, wood, and power tools. Not only that, but the best candidates will be diligent and persistent individuals who are eager to design and construct quality products starting with nothing but basic ideas.

 

In order to apply, you must have the following:

  • A high school diploma (at minimum)
  • A driver’s license
  • A portfolio or examples of past creative projects

 

Do you have the skills? Here are the traits and types of training the job requires:

  • Independent, but also a team player (Like the dudes in those sports movies.)
  • Experienced in reading blueprints and shop drawings (Prove to us that a picture is worth a thousand words.)
  • Able to study designs and bring them to life (Think Frankenstein’s monster: “It’s ALIVE!”)
  • A pro at assembling components (Do you play with legos much?)
  • Pretty organized (How often do you lose your keys?)
  • In good physical condition (You don’t have to be Superman, but that would be a plus.)
  • Capable with mechanical elements (Maybe you take apart toasters in your spare time.)
  • Ready and willing to travel occasionally (Again, it’d be a plus if you were Superman…)
  • Trained in working with machines (We’ve got a list of tools for you below.)
  • Competent at adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing all units of measurement (They call mathematics the “poetry of the universe.” Are you a poet?)
  • A problem solver (And we’re not just talking about math problems.)
  • An expert in building any thingamajig (Have you built a bar out of a boat?)
  • A good verbal communicator (Grunting is fine, but sometimes it just doesn’t do the trick.)

Job Title: Sales and Marketing Representative

Annual Base Salary: $27,040.00 + Commission

Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (with a half-hour lunch) (adjustable hours based on sales meetings)

Since this person will be on the front lines of our company’s interactions with customers, we need someone professional. Candidates should be capable of quickly absorbing and retaining product knowledge, communicating well, and working effectively with other team members. Not only that, but the best candidates will be self-motivated individuals who are driven to produce results.

 

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will include the following:

  • Assisting in and developing sales strategies
  • Developing strategies for company growth
  • Servicing existing accounts and establishing new ones
  • Maintaining (and—don’t forget—exceeding!) sales goals
  • Formulating an annual sales and marketing plan
  • Preparing and submitting weekly reports to management
  • Visiting customers and potential customers to evaluate needs, promote products and services, and maintain positive business relationships
  • Following up with customers after a sales meeting and/or quote
  • Maintaining customer records

  • A pro at prioritizing, organizing, and managing time (How does your sock drawer look?)
  • Comfortable in front of people (Do you mind the spotlight?)
  • Capable of resolving customer complaints (How well do you handle crabby people?)
  • Skilled in closing a deal (Can you sell something without being pushy?)
  • Adept at learning about products (Is your brain sticky enough to retain information?)
  • Excellent at communicating and negotiating (Sure, you can be good at talking. But are you good at listening?)
  • Proficient in creating and delivering presentations (Can you capture attention?)

Job Title: Office Professional

Starting Wages: $10.00 per hour

Hours: Monday thru Friday, 8:30-5:00 (with a half-hour lunch)

Since this person will be on the front lines of our company’s interactions with customers, we need someone at the top of their game. Candidates should be warm and welcoming, capable of multitasking, and willing to pitch in with any assignment. Not only that, but the best candidates will be self-motivated individuals who are driven to get the job done.

 

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will include the following:

  • Answering phone calls and greeting customers
  • Mailing and emailing invoices to customers
  • Entering jobs and data into the accounting software system
  • Instituting and maintaining a follow-up procedure
  • Maintaining the phone system and voicemail messaging
  • Opening and distributing mail
  • Processing shipping & receiving
  • Supporting other team members when needed
  • Maintaining customer records by updating account information
  • Coordinating events for encouraging company culture

  • Warm and engaging with strangers (“Hi! Do you want to be friends?”)
  • A pro at organizing (How often do you lose your keys?)
  • Efficient with time (Sloths can be cute, but we hope you’re not one.)
  • Able to multitask (It’s like being in the circus. Think “juggler.”)
  • Professional and courteous when interrupted (“Knock knock.” “Who’s there?” “Interrupting cow.” “Interrupting—” “MOO!”)
  • Willing to take direction from supervisors (Do you mind being bossed around?)
